Fr. Benjamin Welcoming Message
Welcome to the Sts. Viator and Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Chicago website. I hope you find the information you need on this page. May Our Lord Jesus Christ and the Virgin Mary be in your heart as you explore this page.
Sts. Viator and Wenceslaus Church continues to be active thanks to families seeking spiritual growth through the Religious Education program for parents and children and the celebration of the sacraments. Saints Viator and Wenceslaus is a place to celebrate the Holy Eucharist and to instruct new generations in the faith. Through our tradition, we recognize that good faith formation enriches life and creates a community of empowered believers.
If you are looking for a community to learn and celebrate the faith, I hope you consider Sts. Viator and Wenceslaus as an option. We invite you to join us on Saturday evenings or Sundays to celebrate the Holy Eucharist together and thank God for the blessings received. Holy Mass is the source and the maximum of everything we do. Please, if you have any questions or need more information, do not hesitate to contact us.

WHAT IS ANNUAL CATHOLIC APPEAL?
The Annual Catholic Appeal is an invitation for every Catholic family to respond with a generous heart. Your gift will provide inspiration, education and services to the less fortunate in our Archdiocese and throughout the world.

Words from Fr. Benjamin About the 2023 Annual Catholic Appeal.
The Annual Catholic Appeal is an opportunity to be a light for the parishes, schools, ministries, programs and agencies that serve the educational, physical and spiritual needs of God's people in the Archdiocese of Chicago and elsewhere. By supporting the Annual Catholic Appeal we also support the Catholic Relief Services program which helps people around the world, regardless of religious affiliation, whose lives are devastated by natural disasters, disease, famine or war.
Your generosity and contribution is needed and important to our Church and to supporting many initiatives locally and beyond. Everyone is aware of their personal situation and their possibilities. It is not about giving the same amount, but uniting in the same purpose and sacrifice to be a light for others. Remember, your donation and sacrifice is to support the work of God.
Last year the Archdiocese set us a goal of $37,065. Thanks to your response and generosity we were able to exceed the goal by more than $6,000.00. As you know, when contributions exceed the goal, the parish receives the amount that was over the goal. We will use this money for formation programs, catechism and evangelization. This year the Archdiocese has set us a goal of $34,026. I know I am not alone and I have a generous and committed community. The goal and commitment belongs to everyone. I am trusting that together we will make it once again.
You can make your donation using the donation envelopes available in the back of the church with the ushers or through electronic means. Online you can use annualcatholicappeal.com or the QR code.
I ask you to answer the call, to support the Annual Catholic Appeal. We can all be light by supporting financially, with prayer, and by renewing our sense of hope, solidarity, and responsibility.
Thank you for being light supporting the work of God,
