Matrimonio

The matrimonial covenant, by which a man and a woman establish between themselves a partnership of the whole of life, is by its nature ordered toward the good of the spouses and the procreation and education of offspring; this covenant between baptized persons has been raised by Christ the Lord to the dignity of a sacrament. (Catechism 1601)

The process to prepare for a wedding ceremony should begin at least six months before the planned wedding date.

El pacto matrimonial, por el que un hombre y una mujer constituyen entre sí un consorcio de toda la vida, está ordenado por su naturaleza al bien de los cónyuges y a la procreación y educación de la prole; este pacto entre personas bautizadas ha sido elevado por Cristo el Señor a la dignidad de sacramento.
